  • FS: 1972 911S coupe

    SOLD

I'm assisting a non-Porsche savvy friend selling his '72 S Coupe. I will be handling all questions and information about the car he will be involved in the final sale and logistics.

It is a rough project car, no title, no COA included. The car needs a complete restoration, not a car that can be dolled up and be made to be running and driving with some freshening up. It is very rusty, and will need all the usual metal work on the chassis as well as the exterior panels, and then some.
Notable rust: front suspension pan, floor pans, rockers, rear parcel shelf, front latch panel, engine compartment side firewalls, inner rear quarter panels, rear chassis crossmember, lower doors.

The exterior body: front fenders have rusty mounting flanges, rear quarters have had unknown style (perhaps fiberglass) SC sized poorly done flares, decklid a bit rough, hood not too bad, roof good, includes rear bumpers.

Includes a '72 MFI T engine, and 915 trans. Engine is complete, and turns over, beyond that unknown. Mismatched wheels, does have S alloy front calipers, but does not have a front fender oil cooler or the alloy S decklid. Original Nice front S metal bumper included.

Interior is partially there, dash and gauges complete, T tach, there is a set of front seats the ones that are in the car are incorrect, but I believe we have the correct ones to go with it.

The car is an original S car, and the original color is Gulf Blue. Obviously will need lots of metal work to fix the body and chassis but is definitely not beyond saving.

    $25,000

I was interested, but was told the car was “sale pending” last week.

Yes sale is pending at this point. I will update when the car is considered sold.

Yes there is VIN tags and matching chassis stamping, no there is virtually no paperwork.
