I’m looking to unravel the story of an interesting 1967 Porsche 911 SWB a true short wheelbase 6 cyl car. Currently out of the scene, in storage in UK, I’m reaching out to this community to hopefully piece together its past, has anyone seen this car before or have an idea on its spec or even a value?
Here’s what we know:
Chassis number: 306296
A 1967 SWB 911, once in the USA, and imported to the UK in 2006.
During its time in the States, it was converted into a race car—then later returned to road spec.
Probably non-no’s matching bigger capacity 2.4 engine (engine number not on title doc), fitted with large downdraught Webers (no exact spec on the internals yet but owner was told ‘its race spec’).
Approx 80k miles recorded.
Still ran when parked.
For now, I’ve blurred the UK registration in the pics, but if anyone recognizes this car or knows any hidden history, I’d be excited to hear from you.
Based on the condition (no obvious rust in the usual weak spots or big repairs evident), what do you think this car could be worth in today’s market?
Would be great if we can bring some of its past to light!
