there had been a constant discussion about the color of the IAA 1963 car, which was listed as yellow in the Kardex. Up to the first colored pictures noone was even sure about it being yellow, as Mr. Ruf told me: „we just had the black and white pictures and thought it was light ivory.“
While still in „the early cars“ I stumbled over that very picture attached. It shows 13325 in the backyard of the factory in Zuffenhausen. Some 356 can be seen on the left. I have it in high resolution and as such, raindips can be seen all over the roof. With the leaves on the ground it can be assumed to be anytime in autumn 1963. Maybe past the IAA, Frankfurt, 12.09. - 22.09.1963 and prior to the Salon de l’Automobile, Paris, 03.10-13.10.1963.
As all the details can be seen nicely, also the color hue is getting more into the 6010 condor yellow and clearly not to the discussed 6405 champagne yellow.
