  • Looking for other sportomatic owners

    Hello
Very happy to join and be part of this forum. As the of an Aubergine 1973.5 sportomatic, looking for other sportomatic owners.

Well, I'm not. I drove 2 of them prior to not purchasing them. The first one was an early 911T, 69 or 70, and I couldn't keep my hand off of shifter which is something you really can't do,... right?!
The 2nd one was a 73S. Much later in my life. Managed to drive it without resting my hand on the shifter. It was interesting in an S, probably should have bought it.. but probably then would have converted it to a manual.

Post some pics? Great color btw...

I owned a 73.5, Dalmation blue, loved the car, great torque! One of many that slipped threw my fingers over many years. 73 had some great colors....

    Best,
    Eric

You are correct, you need to remove your hand from the gear shift quickly or else it slips into neutral. Once you get use to it, it is fun to drive and I like it in city/neighborhood traffic. I also wanted something different and somewhat unique. I will post pictures soon.
