I had a great 40+ year (wild) ride of friendship with Gary Emory. Was blessed to know him and his family as well. Road trips to events yearly, I never turned on the radio as Gary had stories for "days". His memory was incredible, and he knew more people than anyone i have ever met, and he was loved and liked by all. My family and I loved him, and he loved us all back. I'm going to have to tell my son Nik tonight after he gets away from the coffee shop that one of his biggest supporters and a person who believed in him and gave him incredible confidence in himself... has passed on.
I got the call this morning from Rod... I saw the phone number and just assumed it was Rod calling for parts (though he only usually texts)... never dawned on my that this day would come. And a side note that this was very unexpected by Gary's family, and he passed in Rods arms.
I've attached this pic, mainly because of the bottle/can holder he's drinking from.
RIP my dear friend.
