Hacked or not, work has gone on.
Not as fast as wished - does it ever?- but work is work.
Body shop is DONE! I'll get it back by mid march.
Seats, door panels, rear seats, door pockets, suspension, fuel tank, glass, all is there.
Engine.... Well, the original engine got so hot, the girdle for one of the crank bearings has melted, and recessed about 3mm.
Everything's repairable, but for now it makes more sense to start with another case and crank. I found a set from another '69E. Correct engine is good for now.
Gearbox is getting checked over this spring by a pro I trust.
So, slow steam ahead, but momentum is monmentum, right?
