And... we're back!
Well, that was easy.
On June 11th, I woke up to a text from my good friend nvr2mny reading "You get hacked?"
So begins my nightmare.
Yes, we were hacked. And badly. The good news is that we don't really collect any personal information besides passwords and our data was not compromised. It wasn't really that kind of hack anyway. More like a random drive-by. The bad news is that shortly after the hack we realized that our backup was not functioning on the forum side of the site and we lost a ton of data. We WERE able to save the registry and the car data. We WERE NOT able to recove the forums posts. Yes, I know, it sucks and I take responsibility.
The issue has been resolved and we've beefed up our security. Hopefully people still want to play in our sandbox but I completely understand if that's not the case.
Still some more things to fix and that will be happening over the next few weeks so please be patient. There are also some conversations happening about the future of this registry and how it might evolve with the help and involvement of some of our members so I'll look forward to sharing more about that when I can. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to catching up with each of you and I appreciate your support.
