Franz, do you have pictures of the very earliest for comparison? How long were they in production as your estimation?

after a quick dig i found this one..not the ones i had in mind.....

i`v arcived this one under the title 64 vs 65?...the one to the left is the 64.(just had a look at some 64 cars i have fotos of...they all have the one to the left)

(the fotos i had in mind show the tipsy next to an otherversion (something in between those shown here) but all have the weld on bracket some are black some are in green primer---but finding those can take a while)

so hauls parts appear to be early ones

and i also think there is differences with the rear mounting point...all a bit confusing...no time to clear the fog

Thank you Franz for bringing some light into dark.
The parts had been supposed to be from the same car and there had been no reason to doubt this.

Well, up to now, as these are BOTH versions…
            the 64&65

I had already wondered, what the heck happened in the factory back in the days.

I will check 2morrow concerning the rear fixation point, but on first view there seems nothing special different.

as promised…difference of the rear mounting point,
dark 64 vs primered green 65-67

i just realized that your tipsy is fabricated differently to the one i have.mine has the "endcap" gas welded whereas yours has a nicely pressed endcap spot welded onto the main part. im not yet sure for how long the early version was used
