Can we talk about fan finish? I see that Cerakote is quickly becoming the most popular finish for this central item in the engine bay. To me the original finish is sort of a pet peeve. I know
Frank Beck has some sort of mystery ingredient that he uses to achieve a perfect result. Does it involve a bodily function? Anyway, here is mine.

David, you are correct. The mystery ingredient I use is based on a carefully blended long-haired Dachshund fecal schmear. Still trying to solve the odor problem once it's "activated" by heat.

The last ones I did. Top photo the color displays accurately. Bottom fan and housing didn't photograph well and shows too "yellow/green". Plating brilliance back in the day was all over the board.
