So I just opened my box from Autobahn interiors and was surprised at how dark the velour salt and pepper is nowadays. I know mine has faded, but I remember it being more gray than black. This is the German velours.

Really believe it was that dark originally
And your original has seen a-lot of UV

Agreed, I sold some seat backs a few months ago and the difference in carpet color between the pieces that got sun and those that didn’t was significant. Surprisingly, the AppBiz LWT carpet kit I bought was the same color as the UV undamaged pieces (very dark).
