ID:	608 After wanting one for so long, I got this one from our Frank.
Going on 3 years, shows that hese are never done quickly, unless you own the shop doing the work.
Paint is nearing, likely this summer. Electrics are done, suspension and brakes are rebuilt. Engine is untouched as of now, although pump and intake are rebuilt.

Looks like fun. I hope Frank made you a deal.

Is that an original light yellow car?

Happy with the price he asked.
originally Irish green. Won't be, though

Looking forward to seeing more progress and your color selection. BTW, I love Irish Green.

          George,

Restoring a longhood is a labor of love as well as an exercise in patience and financial stamina!

Looking forward to seeing progress on your build. What year? Matching? What model? Can you share some details of your build related to the drivetrain?

          /Ravi

            Ravi, turkis,
            Matching everything numbers-wise.
Rebuild close to original. Mechanically nothing will be changed.
15'' wheels to replace the 14''. Konis. 914 steering wheel is ready.
Interior is non-existant at this stage save for a pair of sweet Ideal Recaros.
A pair of Cibies on the hood (wanting to have a set of those for 30 years, now is the time).
Some nice mudflaps in the rear.
Color will be green, of another sort, but factory color.

The shop is nearing paint (Ha!), and the details questions are coming up.
Does anyone have a good reference picture of the level of the body schutz and the color-to-black level on the door sills for '69? They will be covered with the alloy trim most likely, but there's no reason to do it wrong...

Any chance you are going leaf green? One of my favorites.

Just looked at that color. A real “safety color”. Others will see you coming. It is going to look great.

                            Thanks for the good words.
Now, who can suggest a complimentary color for the inside? That canvas is blank.

How about a saddle leather? Kind of medium brown, tanned hide look/
