Was there ever a factory option for air conditioning in the early 911's?
There are several 'A/C looking' hoses in my '66 - wondering if anyone else's car has these?

I have a 67 911s with all the original A/C hoses. It was equipped with the Delanair vents under the dash. I believe it was a factory install option.

The answer is yes. Here are a couple of illustrations from a drivers manual for a 1966 showing the twin heater plus a/c setup. The Webasto heater in the smugglers box was standard, so the factory a/c was housed under the dash with twin condensers in the front fender and under the rear lid. I believe that after 1968 the factory a/c was housed in the smugglers box. Many 911s received dealer installed a/c, however, not the factory setup.
