1965 911 Coupe correct battery ?

Hi, can anyone tell me what the size of the original battery for a 1965 Coupe was. Also any recommendations for what to use now.

51R size is the standard easy size that fits, readily available. The same size for ALL SWB. That being said the original size I believe has been discontinued but recently remade by Porsche Classic…

I have been using the Banner 55515. Looks very similar to the Porsche one and a heck of a lot cheaper. Amazed that there is no original tar top style battery out there. Somebody should hint Bosch. The have reproduced several other tar tops.
