Brake upgrades? What are my options?

I wonder why Porsche upgraded brakes starting in 67. And they provided different levels of braking ever since on same model years. I think we all know why. If your happy with the brakes you have that's great. I'm very pleased with mine.

I will amplify on the (unanswered) question above: what do you think is wrong with your brakes, what are you trying to achieve, and why?

I'd like my car to stop more quickly so I have less risk of running into things that are in front of the car.
