  • Valve covers finish

Actually rebuilding an 2,4 engine. One of the upper mag valve looks originally black, like the cover should be 70 and later.

What is the correct method to receive the original finish of the surface?

I think that they were powder coated, Dirk. They are finished inside and out in the black. If it's paint, it's very rugged.

Thanks Tom, I ll powder coat them. More or less glossy than the engine tinware?

I would say slightly less glossy, Dirk. I'll try to get some photos of what I believe to be original pieces. But first, I have to learn how to load photos from my new phone in the "HEIC" format.
