I recently acquired a 1 owner black on linen 88 911 cab. The interior is in stellar condition except for the shift knob. I would like to have it recovered, in linen, but I've never seen anyone offering this service. I'd like to keep the stock knob rather than replacing it, but it looks pretty worn as you can imagine. Thoughts?

GREAT idea! Never thought of them for that. They've done several wheels for me over the years.
Contacted them and they don't have linen in stock but are mailing out a swatch of light tan for me to compare.
Fingers crossed.....

My dog chewed the knob on my 91 Turbo, I had a complete knob and boot done by https://www.classic9leathershop.com
I did the install, came out perfect. On the 964 it is all one piece on the G50. Is it the same on your 88?

Try as I might, I can't seem to find it. Very weird. The guy I'm looking for sold recovered G50 knobs on eBay and would recover yours if you PM'd him. I had him do one for my Champagne interior 89 930 and it came out great and I think he did all the colors. I'll keep looking.Last edited by JP; 05-25-2022, 08:30 PM.
