I have owned a few S cars, 69S was a great car to rev hard 2.4's 'were all great too but the best was a 2.4S that had an engine rebuild with 2.2S pistons, it was awesome so I think that's a vote for 2.2

Yes, it’ll be interesting to see where it ends up. That seller, whom I believe is one of the biggest dealers volume wise on BaT, has undoubtedly the best vehicle reconditioning and photo’s I’ve ever seen. PLUS, he’s a HUGE advocate of our 2nd amendment and owns an amazing chain of gun stores. Oh, did I mention that he drove for Vasek back in the 70’s / ‘80’s I believe, hence his user name. I’ll be watching……

Agree with this. My 73S with its RS engine is pretty perfect. That said, I’d also love to own a high revving 2.2 narrow body car.
