to simulate the 1967 horsehair floor material ( have to believe the 1968 was treated the same way)
i sprayed multiple layers od rubber undercoat material on the padding matterial............

The last of the sound deadening.......
I left the raised perimeters because I will place a 10mm pad on top and this will level the floor (instead of the materials "ramping" up on the perimeters)

yes... it is 4mm thick.
you have to have a VERY hot heat gun and heat it until it is totally melted.
then you can place it and the outer felt surface allows you to smooth it out
When done properly it is TOTALY bonded to the surface...
