I used IM for a lot of my rubber seals with no complaints!
According to Brett Johnson, lid-mounted seal was replaced at 300 416, February 65. Not sure, but the early seal looks to have same profile as 2-piece engine compartment seal - 911-504-115-02 and 111-02. I'm sure I have a trim piece hanging around if someone wants it to compare with original.

yes it the exact same profile ....just without the notches
