  • The King of Clichés

I just watched a YouTube video by a very successful realtor in SoCal. He's warning about the coming crash in real estate, which I agree with, but that's beside the point. In a 10 minute video he set what has to be a new world record in the use of clichés. Here's a partial list:
    • heat map
    • temperature check
    • too many eggs in one basket
    • rainbows and sunshine
    • level headed realist
    • weather the storm
    • drop off a cliff
    • contagion will set in
    • numbers will skyrocket
    • double edged sword
    • ahead of the curve
    • ring the bell
    • pass the smell taste
    • cut to the chase
    • sound the alarm
    • kick the can
    • drinking the Kool-Aid
    • gut feeling
    • in the trenches
    • doesn't take a rocket scientist
    • play it safe
    • out of left field
    • dust is settling
    • pay the piper
    • hanging on by fingernails
    • buckle up and strap in
    • real world
Seriously, although I may have missed some. Do you think that he might be a robot with rudimentary AI?

    Cheers,
    John

I'm having a hard time thinking of more. Do you think there's a class in clichés in colleges now? It's like building a conversation with blocks.

I don’t know John, your list seems to “check all the boxes”.
