i wonder if it is one of those "only1968 LUX" things
Then again. This car was taken apart and painted several times.
Even the entire red interior was removed and replaced with black interior.
The red sock is original red Porsche grain material and looks period correct.

The kardex said red interior but there was not a trace of red, only black interior.

Interesing.
I have had not much luck finding Elephant hide.
The best-looking substitute from RELICATE is Bison.
The idea of Hounds Took is not my first choice but may end up the being studyed further...
Thanks for the comments.

I love red, but that green with houndstooth gives me envy!
Of course, not the traditional way.
By the way I have had 2 White with red 911's and an olive with red interior.

Bob,
Here's a coupe of options. The red interior was in a car I used to own quite a few years ago. The green interior was in an ivory car owned by Will Sanchez, I provided the green/black/white houndstooth.
You could do a red/black/white houndstooth on the red or burgundy, you can get the red houndstooth from a number of suppliers. Porsche didn't offer a burgundy houndstooth and just used the red for either red or burgundy. I made a burgundy houndstooth when I was doing that fabric, sorry, none left.
I would do either the red or green.

Love red, have had Can Can and the burgundy, Burgundy is very nice.
Have you considered green. I saw an ivory car with a green interior and it was very very nice and different. I think it was very popular in the 356.
